Kasey {atlanta child photographer}

She’s a baby, really, only just turned 13! So I am not sure from where she gained this crazy confidence, but she was a blast, I repeat, a blast to photograph.

As a side note…  I could kiss her mother (not literally) for realizing the importance of capturing her child at this oh so fleeting time! Parents often have a need to capture their children in the baby and toddler phases. Next, elementary school arrives and they leave it to school “picture day” to document their child. Before you know it, you turn around and your baby is all grown up. *sniff, sniff*. You have a box full of snapshots taken at birthday parties, a few “cheese” smiles here and there yet no images coming even close to capturing the child in your heart. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s darn near criminal. So cudos to Kasey’s mom for letting me spend some time capturing her baby girl! And here’s to all the mommy blog readers waking up to the need to capture their babies through pictures. Ahem… pictures by yours truly. Yea! Cheers to that!!!

Blaise {atlanta senior photographer}

Blaise. From our time together I learned she loves children. She isn’t sure if that love will lead her to teaching, but she is hopeful for her future as she begins her senior year.  She has this very quiet spirit about her. It shined through in some of these images, which is maybe why my favorite shots of her show this kind of thoughtful expression.

she’s pretty dang good at the “flirt with the camera” thing. i loved it!

For good measure, I must show you her glowing smile… which may be my favorite too. She can rock both the serious and the smiley.

Davis + Kimberly | engaged {atlanta wedding photographer}

Kimberly and Davis were a blast. We met to photograph their engagement session a few days ago and I found them absolutely adorable. I know, they are adults and adults aren’t typically adorable, but they are. Really. Enjoy a little sneak peek of their session!

ooh la la. pretty sexy, you two are…

this one makes my heart laugh.

Scott + Masheed {Monteluce, Dahlonega wedding photographer}

A couple weeks ago, I met Scott and Masheed at the venue where their super fabulous September wedding is going to be held!  (the winery, Monteluce, in Dahlonega, Georgia) After walking the grounds of this spectacular venue and spending a little time getting to know Masheed and Scott better, I am counting down the days until their wedding (just a few weeks!) But for now, the images from their engagement shoot will have to hold me over!

The gorgeous couple…

While I love many genres of photography, I absolutely cannot resist a gorgeous little girl. I had to turn my camera on Scott’s baby girl for just a couple minutes.

Sammie {atlanta senior portrait photographer}

Its no secret that I love my job. Senior girls are one of my absolute faaaavorite subjects. Nearly always, they do not know how beautiful they are. And I realize that is a wonderful trait, but sometimes I am taken aback at how some of them reallllly do not know how beautiful they are. Sammy is one of those girls. I know, you are thinking… “does this girl have a mirror in her house?!”  As I was working on these images I could hear her laugh and her continual surprised “thank you!!!”s as I continued to compliment her.  She was a joy and so, of course, I just had to share.

Josie {atlanta senior portrait photographer}

If you haven’t already guessed, I am catching up on some blogging this week! Brandelyn Lee Photography has had an amazing summer filled with many gorgeous weddings (most of which we blogged), senior portraits, family sessions, a move to our new studio and lots more! Not to mention I went on two vacations and never shared my baby girls in all their beach cuteness!  Now that school is back in session and my life has returned to some sort of normalcy, I hope to share some sessions, some information about the studio, new products, and some peeks from recent sessions (so stay tuned!)

What seems like forever ago I worked with this gorgeous senior, Josie. I loved her shoot and have been meaning to turn it into a senior sample album. Maybe that will happen soon! But for now… a peek back into the Spring when I shot Josie’s session.

Girl… stop. You are too much.

I already shared this one but it was s0 long ago… I think it bears repeating!:)

A popular senior item… the personality storyboard.
