Album Design ~ How We Do It
We think the images should tell the story, not text or tacky graphics that fade with the trends. We are thinking timeless heirlooms when we design your album. We love clean, modern, and simple designs. We avoid the clutter of layered images and faded overlays. We believe selective coloring (a monochromatic image with the single long stemmed rose in red) went out in the 90s like peasant tops and square toe boots. Did I say that out loud? No, I just wrote it. That’s even worse! But these are our preferences. Our opinions. And you know what they say about opinions. They are like… never mind.
Here are a few sample layouts we design… **picture this as two pages with a teeny tiny crease running directly down the center**

We love to display several similar images on one spread. We call these “sequence” images because they happened in a sequence. They really have the ability to capture personality or unfold a special moment.

We love love love to put a single money shot image on a two page layout…

Less is more people. Don’t think that you are getting more for your money if you ask us to put 37 pictures on every page. Most of our brides receive the digital files with their album. So there is no need to display every single image in the album. Highlighting the beautiful moments that captured the day. The only time we may put an abundance of images in a spread is when we are showcasing the fun that went on at the reception… This is also the only time we will choose to mix color and black & white images on a single page.
