my sister swears it isn’t true but it takes an act of congress to get this kid to smile for me. this is as close as we got… and i think he is actually just sucking on a piece of candy…

These are my new friends Jenny and Nick and their cutie pie, Harper. We met about six months ago- they are part of our small group. Since I found out she was pregnant I was dying to get my camera on her, but, being the good person that I am, I am always too scared to solicit my new friends. And her being the good person she is didn’t want to solicit her new friend. So, low and behold she waits til three weeks from her due date to get maternity pics. And OF COURSE, I jumped on that like wheat on rye. or rye on wheat. or whatever you wanna say. And I must say, from the minute I saw Harper, I needed to take his picture too, but again… no soliciting. He is absolutely the cutest kid ever. He just turned 2 and talks like a 5 year old! Aren’t they a beautiful family? So, finally, I got the chance to take their pictures and had no place to go… We took some of Jenny in her home while Harper napped and then we jumped in the car and went to a place I passed on the way to her house. There was an old rusty school bus on the side of the road (jenny lives in the ghetto. 
jk. ) and as soon as I saw it I knew we had to risk snake bites and rabies from rats (can you get rabies from rats?) to get these shots… its the price you have to pay for good pictures…

I had a lot of pics to post and they all piled up on me! Today I went outside with the girls- this is my back yard- and of course had my camera. Claire was laying on the grass and Charlotte thought it would be funny to jump on her. Luckily I was laying in the grass in just the right spot to catch it! 
ok, not that i want to diminish the fact that my husband put this together with his BARE HANDS! but…. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING!!! isn’t it beautiful?!?!
