Free “Day After” session | weddings

January is a vacation month for many photographers. Not many people getting married. Not many people getting portraits. They did that for Christmas. So, for the most part, we are just sitting idle over here at Brandelyn Lee Photography. Hence me being a blogging fool for the past week! For the first part of the year I was loving it. Catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. Actually folding my own clothes. I began to work out again. Whahoo! Taking pictures of my babies! Play dates! Anyway, next month picks back up slowly… then March brings Spring and I will be back to running around like my hair is on fire all the live long day. Oh, to run around like my hair is on fire again…. I am wayyy too obsessed with what I do. I love it so very much. And I am itching to shoot. Particularly itching to shoot a bride. And her groom. Soooo…..

“Day After” sessions are becoming all the rage in wedding photography. I think the concept is great. On the wedding day I spend about 15 minutes with the bride and groom after the family formals and usually get some really great images. But sometimes you just want more. I know I always want more. I could shoot for 2 hours with the bride and groom and love every minute of it. So… that is what the “Day After” session is about. Its time to hang with the photographer and not worry about rushing in to greet the guests. Not having to worry about staying on schedule. Just you and your groom. or you and your bride. And the title “Day After” is a little deceiving. It doesn’t have to be the “day after”. It can be 2 weeks after. or 2 years after.

So who is this for? I am offering a free “Day After” session to one couple. Send me an email to Brandy@brandelynlee.com and tell me why you want this. Maybe you got married a year ago and you skimped on your photography budget. Shame on you! Or maybe it rained on your wedding day and your photographer shot all your pictures at the traditional altar. And while Mom loved them, they didn’t really capture “the love”. Or maybe you eloped! Or maybe I was your photographer and you love me so much you just want more and more of me! No?

Requirements: Must wear wedding attire. Bride, your wedding dress or a white/ivory dress resembling a wedding dress! … Groom… not as choosy, just be a stud. The couple only. No family. Just bride and groom.  THIS SESSION MUST TAKE PLACE BEFORE MARCH 1st, 2009. And on a weekday- preferably, but not absolutely. And around 4:00pm. absolutely. And kinda local to me…unless you pay for me to come to you. Like if you have a beach house and its got my name all over it. Then I will come to you. Totally will come to you.

What exactly am I giving away? The session (up to 2 hours)-a low res dvd of edited images. (up to 5×7). Portraits and Albums sold separately.

Signing off with a couple images from a “Day After” last summer. Ps– that is my baby sister. See the resemblance?

*** Update: have gotten a ton of response for this! Way more than I expected! Keep it coming. Will make a choice by Monday, Feb. 2***

Katinas Concert

I attended the Katinas concert last month when I visited Nashville. They are an amazing group of men that love Jesus and are blessed to serve Him with their talents. Check them out! One of my dearest friends is the wife of this guy…Jessie Katina.

Christina | sneak peek!

This weekend I photographed a beautiful family. Christina is the daughter in this family. I will blog the family session next… later… like mid-week but Christina could not wait… I am seriously soooo blown away by this girl. I had to give a sneak peek. Have you ever in your life??!! Absolutely stunning. She is 11 years old and seems like a typical 11 year old cutie til I put the camera in her face.  I could have shot all day long. The child was born to be a model. That is all I have to say about it. Check her out…

My girls | long overdue

I love Christmas! I love the holidays… but when they are over, they are over. As quick as I could get it down, I wanted the tree down and I wanted all traces of Christmas GONE! But in the rush to get it behind me I realized I never even looked at the images I shot. So I relunctantly opened the folder where I stored Christmas Pics… not expecting any keepers. I wasn’t particularly inspired during the holidays… overworked as I was! But, to my pleasant suprise I did find some of my girls worth sharing.
