Josh & Dylan | Part II | Reception

As promised… Dylan & Josh Part II. A few peeks at the mad reception fun.

The cake. Of course.

Josh and Dylan cuttin’ a rug.

Dylan with her beautiful mom and sisters!

And Dad

Now- this is the PG rated portion of Dad’s strip tease… Just kidding. It never got beyond PG. But it was pretty funny…

And the maid of honor tactfully encouraging him to put his shirt back on…
You will have to peruse through the zillion reception (from my proof site) images to see more! When it is live (early-mid week)- the password will be Dylan’s last name- all lowercase.

Josh & Dylan | wedding

Josh and Dylan were married last weekend! Despite the rain and a little bit of last minute scrambling to pull off Dylan’s dream of an outdoor wedding, it was beautiful! The ceremony and reception were at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center. The rain threatened all day, and actually did unleash its fury for a little bit but the clouds parted and the sun emerged just in time for the ceremony.

When sifting through these images- i absolutely couldn’t believe how many great images we captured through out their day. Their proof gallery is going to overload and crash my server but i can’t help it! The bride, GORGEOUS! The Groom, STUDLY. The ceremony, PRECIOUS. The light, MAGNIFICENT! The reception…. WILD!!!! And all that = about 1,348,703 images. But oh well, they’ll thank me one day. If they don’t kill me first.
THUS… this blog post and their slideshow is going to have to be broken into two parts. I didn’t make it the reception images yet. But I will. So just wait for it. But a little warning – daddy took his shirt off… and…. that is all i have to say about it. For now.

And one peek from the ceremony…

MY FAVORITE. Dylan…. You are wayyyy too fabulous.

Kevin & Ashley | engagement

Kevin and Ashley are amazing.  They make me so thankful for my job. That I get to tag along and be with them and just watch them delight in each other. They met at Young Harris College. At the very chapel you will see in some of their pictures. Fell fast in love, and the rest is history. They are getting married this summer in Athens. After Young Harris, they both transferred to UGA to finish their degrees. I cannot wait to return to my alma mater for their wedding!

a few minutes into the session, Kevin received an exciting phone call. A job offer! I think this was my favorite moment of the session. When he walked back around the corner, Ashley jumped into his arms. She was so proud of him and it bubbled over the rest of the afternoon.

We wandered around campus and shot in the spots that held sweet memories for Kevin and Ashley.

isn’t she lovely? I can’t wait to see Ashley as a bride. She is going to be a knock-out.

Josh & Bre | senior prom

This was an unusual shoot for me. Debra, Bre’s mother, invited me into her amazing home to photograph her daughter’s senior prom. And while I tend to photograph mostly families and weddings, this totally rocked my world. I loved every minute of it. I arrived a little early to capture some of Bre with her boyfriend, Josh. They were a little nervous at first, but the second I told them to forget I was there and just be together, the shoot flew by. They stepped into their roles rather naturally as they did what they do best… flirt. With each other. All I had to do was snap.

I loved it when Bre released her inner super model. whoa! Look at her!

But you know, my favorite is when a girl can really let loose in front of my camera with the person she adores, adoring her, and i can capture a little bit of who they really are. Her cuteness. Her quirkiness. Her sense of humor. Her expressions say so much about how she adores her boyfriend, Josh. And especially about how he adores her. And when I can capture some of that, that is my favorite.

A little of Josh’s inner super-model too!!! no, not supermodel… rather masucline G.Q. STUD is perhaps a better word…

On a little side note, Debra’s husband, Bre’s father, lost his battle with cancer about 18 months ago. Debra had a memorial garden designed in his honor. For the last few minutes of the shoot we took a stroll out their for some portraits in the garden. Despite the mid-day sun, these really turned out to be some of my favorites.

wow. is all i am saying. effortless. totally effortless on my part. she is just that stunning.

Josh putting on Bre’s corsage…

sneak peek of Addison | news: going on vaca…

Tomorrow morning, me, my husband, my baby girls and my grandmother are going to the beach for a much needed vacation and we’ll be out of the office all next week. If you need to contact us for booking or a question, we will still have email access. The checking of it will be a little more scarce than usual, but we will not be totally out of pocket.

And what good is a post without pictures?! Here is a sneek peek of Baby Addison. 11 months old. The daugher of one of my dearest friends, Stacie.

Claire

Tomorrow Claire graduates from Pre-K. But no tears for me, we have all summer before she is officially a big-kid going to big-kid school. But in honor of the occasion, I decided to take a few moments and dedicate a post to my first born diva, princess, know-it all, self proclaimed prophetess: Claire.

You all know why she is a diva princess know it all, but lately she claims Jesus speaks directly to her. Last week she looked at me with her eyes as big as quarters and told me “Mommy! Jesus told me something that He didn’t tell you! I know he did. I heard him. You didn’t.” To which I said “Really? And just what was that?”. Her reply? And I quote… “He told me to tell you to let the little children do whatever they want to do. Really! He did! Really. He said that!” True Story. Here are a few images I shot of her showing off her mad tree climbing skilz. At her request. She is a mess. Its all I can say.
