The Whittons | lifestyles

Do I still have readers?  I have a laundry list a mile long that would account for my absence as well as “the crazy” that is is my life right now. A month ago, my friend, Tara, decided she was going to “commit to crazy” until January. I laughed. I like that, I said. I decided I, too, would commit to crazy. Take anything that comes my way, buckle down and just get through. While I am coming off the pillow at the speed of light only to have my TO-DO list run circles around me… I have been given the awesome privelidge to capture beautiful families like this. It reminds me the sacrifice of crazy is totally worth it.

This is the Whitton Family. Beautiful, cover model family. No lie. Who called and wants their cover ad? I don’t know, but somebody should.

I love these babies.

**sigh**

Did I mention this family is also our neighbors? This sweet face is a dear friend to my sweet Claire.

is she too much, or what?

double *sigh* with my hand to my forehead for effect.

and last, but not least, Mom and Dad. Hotties? I think so.

The Martin’s & Wiley’s | holiday sessions

I know, I know!!!! Shame on me. I know. I knoooooow.  I have been, like many photographers during this time of year, drowning in my workflow. And sadly, blogging has taken a back seat. I am not even going to try and elaborate, it just is what it is, and now, I am back… for a little while at least, to share with you a teeny tiny peek at these two beautiful families I shot during my holiday shoot.  I am sure they won’t mind, they are great friends and share life together, so I thought they could share the 15 seconds of blog-dom with each other as well!

Ok. Ok. This is the Martin Family. I know I say this a lot. a lot, but these kids… Be still my beating heart is all I have to say. I was culling their images and emailing mommy at the same time going “why do you not have these kids college funds finished and paid for by their modeling careers?” Ok, I didn’t say that exactly, but something like it. I said it a million times on the day of the shoot and close to that last year when I first shot this family… but at the risk of sounding redundant, I gotta say it again. And again. And again. These kids are beautiful.

I am going to sneak this one in here so you can see Lauren’s outfit. Christine’s friend makes these and has her own Etsy store. LOVED it. Sooooo cute. Her Etsy Store.

The whole family, you know, doing what they do. Strolling through hiking trails in their sunday best. Ha!

And the Wiley’s. Again, with the beautiful children, but why isn’t these kids’ college fund paid for by MOMMY’s modeling carreer??? Yes, the kids are stunning, but I gotta say it. Mommy is a hottie.

cuties. cuties. cuties. I saw this image and wanted to reach in and squeeze these sweet babies all smiling like the little Gymboree Ad they are. And together no less! Sibling shots are hard and I am going to go ahead and say it, we rocked this sibling shot.

Oooh la la. Mom and Dad are kinda into each other.

Daddy loves his babies, it was written all over him. All strong and masculine until he’s holding these sweet things.

Marshall + Mia + 2 | lifestyles

This session was a blast. The light. The colors. The family. And best of all, their daughters and I were fast friends. We chose the perfect day, the perfect time and the perfect location, so we landed some pretty great shots. This series was taken last. The road is sentimental. It leads from Mia’s parents’ home to her home. There were several in the series that I loved, but I am having to practice restraint by showing you just one.

I say this often, but what I wouldn’t give to have a sweet sister shot of my babies. They always seem to be pulling at each other’s hair and scowling… not these sweet girls.

Big sister “M”

Little sister “M”

These last two are so fun to me. So happy I can almost hear the soundtrack playing…

I hope you enjoyed your teeny tiny sneak peek!!! I had a blast, thank you for letting me capture your family!

Claire | Happy Tears

I can not believe this is my little girl. I was picking out her clothes for school a few nights ago. She didn’t know I was in her closet when I heard her begin her bed-time prayers. She said “Dear God, make me wisdom” Never mind that she meant, “make me wise”. I stood very still, tried not to giggle as I listened to her simply lay her heart before her Heavenly Father. She prayed beyond her years and asked for God to give her wisdom, to help her make good choices. To help her learn to “take a shower good by myself”and to help her obey her mommy. (I resisted a shout of AMEN to that one). A minute later when she concluded, I stepped out of the closet with tears streaming down my face. She reached to my face and touched them. I asked her, “do you know what those are?”. She grinned really big and said “HAPPY tears!”

Some days she drives me crazy (like... today)  but one look at these pictures of her makes me want to kiss those freckles right off her face. So I thought I’d share.

“…for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us…” Romans 8:26

Ken + Jenny | wedding | part II

I am going to try to express, in very few words, how amazing this couple was. I felt immensely blessed to take part in their celebration. Several times I found myself shaking my head at the goodness of God displayed in this wedding, this couple, and the people surrounding them. I enjoyed every moment I spent with them. True story. So without further ado…

Ken and Jenny’s wedding at the ever beautiful Villa Serena, located in Conyers, Georgia.

I thought the Bible was a nice place for a ring shot, as was evident after five minutes with them, the foundation of their relationship.

Jenny getting beautified… as if she needed it!

I was loving the light in this room so we shot a portion of Jenny’s bridals here. she was absolutely stunning.

Ken. working that suit.

one set from the ceremony.

and of course, my favorite moments of the day. my time with the couple.

Enjoy the slideshow!
