New blog design

Chad and I have spent the bulk of January refining some things about the business. One of those things included a little redesigning of the blog. Just stopping in to say Hi! Once all the refining slows down I promise to be back and show you some of those fall sessions I never blogged! And of course, what good is a post without a picture? My sweet babies. This was our Christmas card image so some of you have already seen it.

The Szczotka Family { Roswell Family Photographer }

This is a continuation of “beautiful kids” post. Because now you can see where the beautiful kids came from!

I love that they chose this one for a wall gallery. So many people overlook the images that capture the way they interact together and go straight to the “everyone smile and say cheese” types of images. My favorite moments happen in between the images I am directing. So needless to say, we got along famously!
a couple storyboards I put together for the family…
see… i told you?? isn’t she beautiful? Zoe possessed a confidence in front of the camera that blew me away.

and i know this is in the storyboard but i think its my favorite from that sequence so i thought i’d be redundant and show it big.

Can you get more perfect bone structure than this kid? Seriously. Seriously? Seriously.

happy family!

mommy and daddy! perfect! If you know Cassie, take a moment to appreciate the bottom right image. I love it. Cracks me up.

and lastly, sneaking this in here. I don’t usually post these into my blog but i am making an exception here because facebook was acting up and wouldn’t let me post it there!

Beautiful kids | Atlanta Child Photographer

I am totally trying to be productive over here yet can not stop myself from bloggin’ these kids. I do not usually blog before proofs anymore but I am being pulled by a magnetic force of some kind.  I am telling myself its because I am going out of town to PPA’s Imaging conference, thus making my client wait a few extra days for her proofs. But really I just can’t stand to keep them to myself any longer. So with much restraint I am showing two. And here is the thing… they aren’t even the BEST two.  Just you wait for the green hat against Zoe’s green eyes. So tell me people, why are these two kids not plastered all over america selling us clothes, peanut butter, insurance, dentistry, something!!!

Chad + Dierdra | wedding | part II

I have been friends with Dierdra since ninth grade and was chompin’ at the bit (yea, i was) to be able to capture this beautiful day in her and her girls’ life. (you may remember them from their Fall Session when I lied and said she was single…. Sorry, gentlemen! She is officially off the market. Chad and Dierdra were married the Saturday before Christmas in a beautiful little church in Taylorsville, Georgia. It was short and sweet and I loved every minute of it. So here’s to part II of their wedding images…

**sigh** Dierdra, you are killin’ me. If you need a second career, consider bridal modeling. Seriously. You are rockin’ veil like no other.

for some reason this image made me smile. i love the pick-up truck. it’s so real.

Thank you so much, Chad and Dierdra, for inviting me to be a part of this amazing time in your lives! Enjoy the slideshow!

Morgan & Deb | lifestyles

Its the first Monday of 2010. Vacation for me is officially over. I took the past couple weeks off to prepare for and then enjoy the Christmas season. I did shoot a few times but virtually ignored my computer! I am scared to look and really see how few times I blogged over the Fall madness. However, I vow to better! Scouts honor. So hang in there. I have a recent wedding to share, an updated site, some announcements, and some other cool things. And for good measure we may throw in some images from our associate, Holly, who has been rockin’ out some weddings of her own this season!

In the meantime, the next few posts may be old news to some of you as I have shared many of the images via facebook. However, I am going to randomly share some of my Fall sessions. And to be sure I follow through, I am going to resist the urge to elaborate on every detail that made each and every shoot fabulous. (though I assure you, my super cool clients insure that every shoot IS fabulous)  So… here’s to being short and sweet!

Meet Deb and Morgan. Their amazing daughter, Tara, also a friend/client of mine, gave them a gift certificate for the session as a Christmas gift. We shot it at their beautiful home. We just missed the beautiful color of Fall, but I am becoming a fan of “wintry images” so we just went with it. Enjoy!
